Welcome to the University of Miami
The University of Miami began in 1926 with an class with 560 stundents.
Now we have more than 15,400 undergraduate and graduate stundents
from all around the world. They call UM as there home during
the academic semesters. Our University has grown from its
main location in the City of Coral Gables, since the start of the University in 1926.
UM is the second largest private employer in Miami-Dade County,
with more than 10800 fulltime and parttime faculty and stuff.
By a group of citizens, the University was chartered in 1925,who felt an institution
of higher learning for the development of their young and growing community.
